Docks

The City of Detroit Lakes processes dock permits for properties along the City Beach. Property Owners must complete the application and adhere to the laws set forth in the City of Detroit Lakes Municipal Code.  

Application & Important things to remember are:

• Completed application must be submitted  
• Only 4 private properties along the beach remain eligible for a permit
• If you do not renew your permit annually, you will lose the right to obtain a dock permit

 

Applications are considered for approval by City Council on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, once approved, applications will be processed and issued within 2-3 business days.
