Running At Large

Animals are prohibited from running at large and must be on a leash when not on the pet owner’s property, per City Ordinance 502.04. Any cat or dog that is seized within City limits will be brought to the City Pound.  No impounded dog or cat will be released from the pound without a City license.  Fines and any applicable boarding fees must also be paid before an animal will be allowed to be taken from the pound.

Cats and dogs are not allowed on the City Beach; however they are allowed in the park provided they are on a leash and kept under the control of an accompanying person.  All animal waste must be picked up and properly disposed of.
