For animal control concerns of domesticated animals, Potentially Dangerous or Dangerous Dogs, call the Detroit Lakes Police Department at 218-847-4222.

Due to humane issues, Public Works will not set traps if the weather does not consistently stay above freezing. All traps set by the Public Works Department are pulled on Fridays.

There are traps available for use for skunks, woodchucks, and other wild animals. You can check these out at the Public Works Building, 1759 N Tower Rd.
