NOTICE OF FILING DATES FOR CITY OF DETROIT LAKES ELECTED OFFICERS
Any eligible person desirous of having his or her name placed on the official ballot as a candidate shall file an affidavit with the City Clerk at 1025 Roosevelt Avenue and pay a fee of $5.00.

Primary Elections How to Vote
Vote Early by Mail
Early voting will begin on Friday, June 26 and go through Monday, August 10. To apply for an absentee ballot, visit the website of the Minnesota Secretary of State.
Your ballot must be received in the mail by Election Day. You can return your ballot in person at the Becker County Courthouse no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day to count.
Vote Early in Person
Early in-person voting begins on Friday, 26 and go through Monday, August 10. To vote early in person, apply for an absentee ballot and return your ballot in person no later than 8 p.m. on Election Day.
Detroit Lakes residents can vote early in person at the Becker County Courthouse
Vote on Election Day
Election Day is on Tuesday, August 11. All Detroit Lakes residents can vote from 7:00am to 8:00pm at their voting location.
