Taxi

The City of Detroit Lakes requires businesses wishing to operate as a Taxi within the city limits to obtain a license.  Each vehicle is licensed separately and must be renewed prior to expiration at the end of each calendar year.  We recommend individuals interested in operating a company transporting passengers review the City of Detroit Lakes Ordinance prior to applying.  

Applications are considered for approval by City Council on the 2nd Tuesday of each month, once approved, applications will be processed and issued within 2-3 business days.
