The City of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota is seeking qualified candidates with a high degree of personal and professional integrity for the full-time position of Police Officer. The 2017 contracted salary range is $49,443.89 – $62,587.20. We also offer a competitive benefit package including all required uniforms and equipment. Applicants must be licensed or eligible to be licensed by the Minnesota POST Board prior to appointment. There is currently one open position to be filled from this process. Starting date is anticipated on or about May 1st, 2017.

- $1.05 per hour shift differential pay between 6pm and 6am
- 10 paid holidays each year
- $925 annual uniform allowance
- $1,500 contribution by city to employee Health Savings Account over first 2 years of employment
- Sick leave / Vacation Accrual according to union contract
- Fully paid health insurance premiums for single coverage, only $30.88 per month for family coverage
